That's What She Read

How to Run with a Naked Werewolf

How to Run with a Naked Werewolf - Molly Harper It should come as no surprise to frequent readers that I have a girl crush on Molly Harper. Her paranormal romantic comedies never cease to make me laugh out loud. They are always a great reminder of why I love to read.

It should really come as no surprise that the third novel in the Naked Werewolf series remains as fun and entertaining as the previous two stories. How to Run with a Naked Werewolf has everything fans love about Ms. Harper’s work. Her female characters are strong with a fantastic wit. The romance is intense and sensual. The love interest is gorgeous in his perfection and more so in his flaws.

Yet, Ms. Harper ups the ante with How to Run with a Naked Werewolf. Whereas her previous heroines have had significant obstacles to overcome before getting their “happily ever after”, none are quite as intense and horrifying as Anna’s past. Her memories of her past life, told through snippets and dreams, create a realism to her story that does not necessarily exist in Ms. Harper’s previous stories. When her past finally does clash with her present and future, it does so in a brutal fashion, in scenes that are difficult to read – something exceedingly unusual for Ms. Harper.

If anything, Anna and How to Run with a Naked Werewolf shows just how mature Ms. Harper has become as an author. More importantly, it really showcases her talent to balance the serious with the lighthearted and the supernatural with the realistic. Not only does How to Run with a Naked Werewolf solidify my girl crush on Ms. Harper, it makes me exceedingly anxious to see what she delivers next for her fans. If the third Naked Werewolf novel is any indication, it is going to be amazing.
